Mathias Woo was born in Hong Kong and was educated in architecture at University of Hong Kong and Architectural Association, London. He is the Executive Director of  Zuni Icosahedron, an experimental arts organization in Hong Kong. Woo has produced, directed and designed more than 50 theatre works which have been shown in cities including Beijing, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore and Berlin.  His "HK Style" series was the first book to probe into the design language of architecture and city development in Hong Kong. In 2008, Woo participated in the 11th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia 2008, as a Guest Exhibitor with his multimedia installation "Hong Kong Odyssey".
